Sport
To date Randall Thorp have been responsible for the creation of 17 ha of sports facilities throughout the site. From layout and detailed design, producing construction documentation and administration to managing maintenance up to handover for the following areas:
- Lower Cambourne Cricket Field
- Great Cambourne Cricket Field
- Playing Fields for football, mini soccer, rugby and hockey
- Multi Use Games Area
- All weather tennis courts
- Bowling Green
An 18 hole golf course is also planned for Cambourne's Eastern Valley
Leisure
Cambourne also has a wide variety of open space for more informal recreation which Randall Thorp has been responsible for the detailed design and realisation of:
- 28 ha of Country park
- 58 ha of nature reserves
- 45 ha of new woodland
- Fishing lakes
- 3 Village greens
- 7 Play areas
- 12 miles of new recreational paths
These areas are becoming well established and popular venues.
