Randall Thorp have been working for Peel Holdings since 2002, developing strategies for public realm improvements within Partington. The various components of the scheme aim to regenerate the village.
Our involvement includes:
- Landscape strategy for public realm improvements along the main routes through the village and production of drawings for submission to the Local Planning Authority;
- Input to the Area Action Plan;
- Working alongside ecologists in the design of a ‘Green Loop’ which links open spaces surrounding the village to bring recreational and ecological benefits;
- Working with architects to masterplan the redevelopment of the retail centre;
- Landscape design of the external spaces within the retail centre and production of drawings for planning submission;
- Production of Design and Access Statements for the retail proposals.
In 2008 Trafford Borough Council approved the proposals to upgrade the public realm, provide the ‘Green Loop’ and redevelop the shopping centre.
