Dick Longdin (he/him)

Partner

Dick is an expert in residential masterplanning and green infrastructure planning for complex schemes. He was elected Fellow of the Landscape Institute in 2012 in recognition of his contributions to the profession as a designer, lecturer, and Pathway to Chartership examiner and was made a Landscape Institute Ambassador in 2017. In 2019 he was awarded the title 'Recognised Practitioner in Urban Design' by the Urban Design Group. He oversees the practice masterplanning and urban design work.

Lindsay Cordall (he/him)

Partner

Lindsay is meticulous in his approach to detailed design and high quality workmanship, which has ensured the smooth delivery of many landscape schemes. He leads project teams on detailed design for planning and construction and oversees the practice landscape implementation work. He is a Supervisor and Examiner for the Pathway to Chartership.

Nicola Jacob (she/her)

Partner

Nicola’s area of expertise is masterplanning and landscape assessment for sites ranging from single buildings to new settlements. Her holistic design approach balances planning constraints, place-making principles, and the commercial needs of clients. She guides the team on projects at feasibility and planning stages, and provides landscape expert witness services.

Danielle Bentley (she/her)

Junior Partner

Danielle has expertise in technical detailed design for planning, design coordination and contract administration. She manages the delivery of large-scale strategic infrastructure and landscape schemes, including implementation on site. Danielle is also a Supervisor for Pathway to Chartership candidates.

Joanne Folland (she/her)

Senior Associate

Joanne has extensive experience in preparing Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments which can withstand close scrutiny at planning appeals in addition to a broader range of design skills, all of which benefit from her careful and considered approach to landscape design. She focuses on the planning stages of projects and oversees Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment services.

Laurie Sangwin (he/him)

Senior Associate

Laurie is a talented landscape architect who specialises in urban design, residential layout and planting design and is also a skilled designer of natural play spaces. He currently manages a number of projects through the early planning stages for established clients. He is also a Mentor for Pathway to Chartership candidates.

Ellie Forshaw (she/her)

Senior Urban Designer

Ellie is an Urban Designer and chartered Town Planner passionate about placemaking and creating high quality environments. Ellie has a keen interest in Urban Designs role in improving mental health and wellbeing and gender mainstreaming principles.

Ellie has worked for the public and private sectors on varying scale projects, including landscape led residential, mixed use and commercial masterplans and design guidance and has experience of heritage projects for sites within conservation areas and conservation area appraisals. Most recently, Ellie has been working on large scale Town Centre regeneration projects

Chloe Greenwood

Landscape Architect / Senior Graphic Designer

Chloe joined us with a background in all things creative. She was awarded an Art Foundation Distinction from The Manchester School of Art, before graduating with a BA (Hons) in Landscape Architecture from the University of Sheffield in 2017. Since leaving University, Chloe has gained further experience in graphic design and digital illustration, and now assists with graphics across a variety of projects alongside specialising in technical design work with a key focus on planning and construction detailing and design coordination of large-scale strategic infrastructure and landscape schemes.

Martin Donnelly (he/him)

Landscape Architect

Martin graduated from University of Gloucestershire in 2019 and has developed expertise in detailed design for planning applications at a variety of scales, having worked on a large variety of residential, commercial, education and healthcare projects before joining the Randall Thorp team in 2023. Martin looks forward to using and developing his skills to become a well-rounded Landscape Architect.

He is mindful of the impact good design can have on people and their experience within a place and provide a foundation to allow healthy communities to develop.

Lara Neathey (she/her)

Landscape Graduate

Lara graduated from the University of Sheffield with a BA in Landscape Architecture, followed by a Masters Of Landscape Architecture in 2022 where she won the PechaKucha award for her project work based on a site in Lisbon. After spending 4 years in Sheffield, Lara has now ventured to Manchester to join the Randall Thorp team. She’s keen to explore all aspects of Landscape Architecture but has a particular interest in residential masterplanning and urban design.

Zoe Nosworthy (she/her)

Landscape Graduate

Zoe joined the team after graduating with an MLA from the University of Sheffield in 2022. She is interested in designing landscapes that promote mental and physical wellbeing, enhance sense of place and build inclusive, resilient communities. Zoe is excited to work on projects at a range of scales and see real-life schemes evolve from conception to completion, as well as improve her planting knowledge and detailed design skills.

Daniel Asha (he/him)

Landscape Technician

Dan joined the team as our first ever Apprentice Landscape Technician and successfully completed his apprenticeship in 2024. He is the youngest and keenest member of the team (his words!). He is very excited to learn about all aspects of the profession and the variety of techniques and skills needed to succeed in the landscape industry.

Alison Forsythe

Practice Manager

Alison has a background in illustration and graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 1986 with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design. She joined Randall Thorp as Practice Manager in 2003 and looks after the office IT, finance and business operations.

Dog Friendly Office

Woody, Scruff, Paddy & Jack

Our office dogs, Paddy, Jack and Woody & Scruff are friendly dogs that often visit the Randall Thorp studio.
