Randall Thorp were responsible for the strategic landscape layout and detailed design of the courtyard gardens as part of improvements to this high security hospital. As well as the obvious security issues, the gardens needed to be calm, meditative places with no dead ends. The resulting scheme is one that offers staff and patients a safe refuge and calming contact with nature.
