LVIA, Masterplan, Landscape framework plan, Landscape evidence for appeal, Detailed landscape design, Landscape contract preparation and administration

Our clients required an extension of their existing quarry in the south Pennines. Our proposals included additional woodland planting, a small informal car park for recreational users and the provision of new footpath links. Careful assessment through an LVIA demonstrated that the scheme would not have an adverse impact on views and would actually have a beneficial effect on landscape features. Despite officer recommendation for planning approval the scheme was refused planning permission by committee and was appealed by our client. Randall Thorp were commissioned to prepare and give landscape evidence, which resulted in the Planning Inspector granting planning permission.
