We’re delighted to announce the promotion of Ellie Forshaw to the role of Senior Urban Designer.
Nicola Jacob, Partner, Randall Thorp said, “Ellie has rapidly proven herself to be a capable project manager and masterplanner. Her understanding of the principles and practice of people-centric design has become a great asset to the whole team. We’re delighted to promote Ellie to the role of Senior Urban Designer where she will be able to apply her skills and knowledge widely, ensuring the needs of our clients are met with high quality and successful places and placemaking.”
Ellie was first appointed by Randall Thorp to the role of Urban Designer only 6 months ago. She is a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI) and holds an MSc in Urban Design, and her work focuses on the impact of design on mental health and wellbeing.
Ellie has worked with public and private sector clients on varying-scale multi-disciplinary projects, including landscape-led residential, mixed-use and commercial masterplans and design guidance. She has also worked on heritage projects for sites within Conservation Areas, and has been involved in the Future High Streets Fund, Towns Fund and levelling up projects for large-scale town centre regeneration projects.
Ellie said, “I’m proud to work in such an experienced studio and collegiate environment, with a supportive team around me. In this new role I’m looking forward to working closely with some of our most progressive clients to design places focused on socioeconomic inclusion, quality of life and environmental performance. It’s an exciting time!”
