Russell Homes have secured outline planning permission for 455 new homes on land either side of Stansty Chain Road, Wrexham.

Randall Thorp were responsible for preparing the landscape strategy and Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment, and coordinating verified photomontages for the outline planning application, which faced particular sensitivity in relation to the setting of an existing listed farmhouse, located to the north of the site.

The site is considered to be one of the most sustainable and sought after sites in Wrexham, being opposite the retail centre, Plas Coch school, the University, and within a short walk of the train station and city centre. The masterplan for the site seeks to make the most of these strengths by further improving walking, cycling and public transport opportunities, while also elevating the landscape credentials of the site to create an attractive and desirable place to live.
