Cambourne Country Park is the centrepiece of a new 100 hectare nature reserve in the heart of Cambourne New Settlement. It combines the engineering requirements of flood control and spoil disposal with ecological enhancements and informal recreation to create a stunning resource for the new community. Managed by the County Wildlife Trust, the park demonstrates how new development can create assets that benefit people, wildlife and the wider environment.

"We hope developers will learn lessons from Cambourne and realise that places that are good for wildlife are places people want to live."
