The Beaulieu development in Chelmsford has won further recognition, picking up the ‘Highly Commended’ award at the Essex Housing Awards 2022. Beaulieu is now amongst the most highly rated housing schemes in the region, and this new award is evidence that the scheme has made a significant contribution to meeting housing needs and contributing to residents and the wider community through excellence in design.
We are very proud of our involvement with this scheme; it’s a perfect example of how we create high-quality public spaces integrating movement, local facilities, play, outdoor amenities and biodiversity. Beaulieu has now been cited as an exemplar in several design guides, including the National Design Guide, Building for a Healthy Life, and the Essex Design Guide, where it also features as a case study.
