Dan joins us as one of the first intake of Apprentice Landscape Technicians, Kam joins us on his year-out from Sheffield University and Harry joins us as a part time MA student at Birmingham University.
Appeal win in Bolton

Delighted to have assisted our clients Harworth Group plc with this appeal win.
The landscape scheme was prepared by TEP who were unable to present evidence due to professional conflicts. Randall Thorp presented the landscape evidence based upon the TEP scheme after it had already been agreed with the LPA that there would be adverse impact on landscape.

Our detailed TVIA (townscape and visual impact assessment) work has assisted another client gain planning approval.
The 8 storey King Street office development will bring thousands of new jobs to Blackpool town centre.
Grand Union, Wembley

Grand Union is a vibrant new canalside neighbourhood from St George Property Developers built on a 22 acre derelict site in Northfields, London. The scheme will provide new apartment homes with 11 acres of extensive public open space comprising plaza, informal garden spaces, water feature, canalside pathways and water side meadows. Residents will enjoy roof gardens, terraces and community gardens. Our work includes refining existing designs for the external public and private areas to provide detailed landscape layouts for planning and construction.
Supporting equity, diversity and inclusion in the built environment

We are proud to support the Landscape Institute's Rainbow Places initiative working to improve EDI in our sector.
The very first Rainbow Places national event saw Randall Thorp Partner Dick Longdin and his husband, actor and gay activist Adam Zane, take part in 'WORKS OUT' an online event discussing personal experiences of being out at work, from the 1980's to the present day. Joining Dick and Adam were Charlotte Harris (Director: Harris Bugg Studio), Rudhira Sambrey (Landscape architecture student) and Oli Grice Jackson (Senior Ecologist, FPCR).
National Design Code features our work

We are delighted to see that our detailed design for the public realm, including our planting design, at Beaulieu for Countryside, is boldly featured as a full page image in the newly published National Design Code.
Ellel Holiday Village proposals submitted

Outline plans have been submitted for a ecology themed holiday village at Ellel, Lancaster
The masterplan was drawn up by a team led by Stride Treglown, withy Randall Thorp advising on landscape matters including a Landscape strategy plan and Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment.
Botanical House, Trafford: Planning approval

After months of hard work, we are delighted to see our client Investar Property Group submit plans for the redevelopment of this key site in Trafford. The Randall Thorp team provided the Townscape and Visual Impact Assessment (TVIA) as well as the landscape strategy for the scheme of 149 apartments in two buildings with the garden and roof terrace taking their inspiration from the Victorian botanical gardens that were once on the site.
