About Randall Thorp
Randall Thorp provides landscape expertise for planning, design and delivery. We work with developers, local authorities, landowners and communities across the UK, helping clients understand sites, inform decisions and shape places that respond to their landscape and setting. We believe understanding landscape reveals opportunities as well as constraints, providing the foundation for informed decisions and successful places.
Based in Manchester, we have been providing landscape expertise for over 35 years, supporting projects at every stage, from early appraisal through to masterplanning, detailed design, construction and long-term management.
How we work
Whatever stage we become involved at, understanding the site, its landscape and its setting is fundamental to our approach.
We work closely with clients and consultant teams throughout a project, integrating landscape with planning, urban design, ecology, engineering and architecture from the outset. This collaborative approach helps ensure landscape is considered alongside other disciplines rather than in isolation.
Our projects draw on the experience of our team, bringing together different areas of expertise to meet the needs of each commission.
What we do
Every project is different, but our clients are often trying to answer similar questions. They may be seeking to understand a site, shape development proposals, secure planning consent or deliver a successful landscape scheme. Whatever the objective, we provide landscape advice that supports informed decisions throughout the life of a project.
