OVERVIEW

Randall Thorp were appointed by PJ Livesey to define the landscape and public realm for the regeneration of Chorlton Precinct. Working with FCB Studios and CBRE, the project reimagines an outdated retail centre as a contemporary mixed-use neighbourhood shaped around people, nature and community.

OUR ROLE

We led the landscape and public realm design from concept to Stage 3.
Key responsibilities included:

  • Development of a concept Landscape Masterplan, establishing the design narrative, key principles and opportunities.
  • Production of a fully coordinated Landscape Masterplan and detailed soft landscape proposals
  • Preparation of a robust and visually rich, planning-ready Stage 3 Landscape Report
  • Preparation of the Townscape and Visual Impact Assessment (TVIA) to support the planning application

Throughout, we worked closely with the client, architects and project team to ensure the landscape vision drove the overall masterplan.
