Following on from the success of Grand Union Phase 1, permission was granted for a second phase of the development which expanded along the Grand Union Canal consisting of; private and affordable homes, landscaped public spaces and stunning roof terraces whilst also aiming to connect local residents with the previously inaccessible waterways to create a unique recreational route.

The scheme includes 950m2 of carefully crafted landscape with podium gardens, play spaces, private roof terraces and idyllic planting to create a trans.

Designing a landscape on a podium presents an array of challenges and requires forward thinking approaches to achieve adequate depths for vegetation establishment, suitable drainage as well as alternative fixing methods. Careful consideration was needed when calculating the size and placement of vents on the podium to facilitate sufficient airflow.
