Randall Thorp was part of a multidisciplinary team employed by Taylor Wimpey to design a residential scheme for 450 homes on the northern outskirts of Preston. We produced a masterplan which created a new place for sustainable family living, whilst complementing and integrating with the adjacent areas. The masterplan included a range of family homes, including affordable housing, within a well planned green infrastructure network to encourage pedestrian and cycle movement. Working closely with the local community and using best practice in urban, landscape and ecological design led to the scheme for this sensitive site achieving planning permission.
