Martin Donnelly, Landscape Architect, and Zoe Nosworthy, Graduate Landscape Architect, visited Urmston Grammar School, Manchester, on Monday 4th March to kick off National Careers Week.

Randall Thorp has supported many of Urmston Grammar School’s career events and has previously offered Year 12 students work placements at our Ancoats studio.

Martin and Zoe took part in the Year 8 ‘Speed Networking’ event where they answered students’ questions about what it’s like to be a landscape architect.

Martin said, “It was a good opportunity to give a flavour of what the profession is to students who are currently thinking about their future path. Many seemed excited about the role Landscape Architects can have in shaping the spaces we live in.”

Zoe said, “the students showed a great interest in the examples of work we took along and asked some really thoughtful questions. They really got the most out of the event!”
