Randall Thorp assisted Trafford Council and developer Bruntwood Works in securing consent to build 750 homes and 200,000 sq ft of offices on the former Kellogg’s headquarters, in the Civic Quarter of Trafford. We provided Townscape and Visual Impact Assessment services for this new and exciting scheme.

We're delighted that plans to create a 190,000 sq ft business park off Pendleton Way in Wilmslow have been recommended for approval by Cheshire East Council’s planning officers. This future Business Park is designed to provide "exemplar facilities and open space."  Randall Thorp provided the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment for the scheme, working alongside: AEW Architects, Avison Young, Vectos, Tylor Grange and TDP developments. The recently published report by CBRE 'The Rise of the Master Developer' explores the role, business model and benefits of 'Master Developers' in the housing sector. Our client Countryside Properties have contributed not just their experience of this role, but also a range of stunning photos of their flagship development at Beaulieu showcasing our landscape design and planning skills.

We're delighted that our work has been featured in another national design guide. The updated Building for a Healthy Life (previously  known as Building for Life) presents The Chase at Beaulieu as an example of good practice for Green and Blue Infrastructure.

The Landscape Institute has published its Climate and Biodiversity Action Plan. We're proud to have been able to support this by encouraging and supporting our (former) team member, Sean Rushton' to be part of the LI's Climate Emergency panel. 

We're delighted to see our work prominently featured in the updated Essex Design Guide. The online version of the Guide not only shows off our design for Beaulieu Square (architects: Gardener Stuart) as the main image on the home page, but our detailed design for Beaulieu Chase is also featured as a case study within the guide.

To create a virtual Chelsea Flower shower during lockdown and highlight the importance of open spaces for mental health, our team created a series of videos welcoming people into their own gardens. 

Planning approval has been granted for the first phase of landscape at Cambourne West for our clients Taylor Wimpey and Vistry. This 30ha scheme includes: lakes, ornamental ponds, naturalistic wetlands, formal parkland, new woodlands, greenways and roadside planting to provide a stunning setting for the first phase of 969 new homes.
