Randall Thorp were commissioned as lead design consultant to assist our clients in the production of a masterplan for a 10,000 home, mixed new community on a former RAF barracks as part of a limited design competition by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation.

The resulting scheme proposed a truly sustainable community for the 21st century and beyond, a place that would be rooted in its regional context whilst confidently looking forward. Waterbeach would deliver a town that is exciting in terms of townscape, architecture and landscape to create a unique sense of place that is a truly valuable addition to Cambridgeshire.
