Our clients Redrow have recently submitted their 1,380-home vision for a swathe of land at Stakehill, Rochdale. Working as part of the multi-disciplinary design team, Randall Thorp were responsible for the landscape strategy and detailed Design Code.

We were delighted to support our client Taylor Wimpey plc with their outline planning application for 350 new homes in Widnes by preparing the #LVIA and landscape strategy.

Dick and Zoe attended the Manchester University careers fair to promote Randall Thorp to landscape architecture students.  The surprise of the day however, was how many architecture and planning students showed an interest and expressed how they wished they knew about landscape architecture before they chose the courses they did!

A nearby site visit gave us the opportunity to pop into this neighborhood park in Hulme, Manchester to see how its matured since we designed it 24 years ago.

Outline planning permission has been granted for the Oxley Health & Wellbeing Facility project in Wolverhampton. Plans for the site comprise a two-storey health and wellbeing facility, featuring a landscape masterplan for the public and semi-public spaces by Randall Thorp.

The Beaulieu development in Chelmsford has won further recognition, picking up the ‘Highly Commended’ award at the Essex Housing Awards 2022.

Ellie Forshaw, senior urban designer, and Zoe Nosworth, graduate landscape architect, visited Urmston Grammar School, Manchester, for the start of National Careers Week on Monday, March 6, 2023, and the school’s “Be Inspired” event for Year 7 and 8 students.
